Hambürger

Videogame, 2023

Hambürger is a saterical video game commenting on overconsumption.

The title is a made up word consisting of hamburger (a symbol for consumtption and capitalism) and bürger (german word for bourgoisie coined by Karl Marx).

With no instructions the player is put into a world where Nenas 99 luftballons plays on repeat while burgers appear around them.

Due to the inner urge to consume instilled into them by the social structure the player collects the hamburgers and while doing so their characters hat grows in height continuously rewarding them for their consumption.
